Dr. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Alberta, Canada, and of the Stanford Orthopaedic Program.
Board certified in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Jackson has had a private practice in Oakland since 1960.
He held the position of Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics several times: from 1975-1981 and 1986-1992 at Summit
Medical Center in Oakland and from 1968-1974 at Highland Hospital.
Dr. Jackson is well known for his work in academic medicine as well.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and
Associate Clinical Professor at the UCSF Medical School. He is also known for
his research on Non-Cemented Knee Anthroplasties.
Dr. Jackson retired from the Webster Orthopaedic Medical Group in 1997, and is currently active at the
Jackson Orthopaedic Foundation where he oversees research and other programs.
