Douglas Dixon Memorial Summer Internship Program

Thank you for showing interest in Dr. H M Reynolds' Douglas Dixon Summer Internship Program. As you know, a large number of highly qualified students are seeking internships for the summer of 2005. In order for us to select the most qualified individuals for this summer’s internship program we request that you send the following information:

     *High School Transcripts
     *Up-to-date College Grades
*One Letter of Recommendation from a PREVIOUS EMPLOYER
*Additional Letters of Recommendation are optional
*A Statement on your interest in a career in the medical profession (Include why you are interested in a career in medicine, what type of health care professional you want to be, why you think you are qualified for this summer's internship program and how it will help you decide if a career in medicine is right for you).
*A Statement describing your definition of the word initiative and an example of how this concept applies to you.

The statements should be thoughtful as they will play a large part in the selection committee's evaluation of your application. They can be any length you deem appropriate.

In addition to this required written information, A PERSONAL INTERVIEW IS REQUIRED OF ALL APPLICANTS. Please call us as soon as possible to schedule an interview so that it can fit into any school breaks you may have when you are in the area.

ALL INFORMATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 15, 2005.
